How to Care for FudgieWudgie Fudge...

The most important thing about taking care of your fudge is to simply
keep it OUT of the refrigerator.

If you do refrigerate your fudge, it becomes crystallized and it will not be enjoyable....

When you bring your fudge home, simply keep it on your
countertop in the box that it came in.
Do not keep it in a plastic bag, and since fudge is an
absorbent food product, don't keep it in your pantry
next to the onions and garlic!

However, if you'd like to keep your fudge for longer period of time,
you can easily freeze it following the steps below:

  • Place the fudge (including the box if you'd like) in a plastic
freezer bag and seal it, but don't squeeze out all the air.

  • Then place that bag into another freezer bag, again not squeezing out all the air.

  • Place this double bag in the freezer for up to six months.

  • When it comes time to thaw it out, place that double freezer bag
on the countertop, without taking out the fudge.

  • In four to six hours, your fudge is ready to be enjoyed again.

Remember to not thaw out the fudge in your refrigerator,
and do not vacuum seal your bag of fudge for storage..

Fudge Usage

Some folks like to cut a one pound piece of fudge into quarters, then
freeze the whole thing, and take out a quarter pound at a time as needed.
